Kelly J. Compeau launched her showbiz career in the late 1980s, singing lead and back-up vocals for an Ottawa area pop/rock cover band, utilizing her ability
to mimic the vocal style of numerous recording artists including Olivia Newton John, Karen Carpenter, Pat Benatar, Debbie Harry, Annie Lennox, Madonna, Paula
Abdul and Sade, among others. She later transferred those talents to broadcasting, singing jingles and creating a variety of character voices for radio and
television throughout the 1990s. After working as a floor director and production assistant for both CHUM Ltd. & Rogers TV in recent years, Kelly founded
KJC Group Entertainment, an Ottawa-based production company that focuses specifically on the sci-fi/fantasy genre. When not exercising her talents as a
writer/producer, Kelly also works as an industry publicist/manager through sister company, Showbiz Media Services, her client base consisting of both
inexperienced talent and well-established pros.
